The Beef hit the road for the first time this season traveling to Dodge City to take on the SW Kansas Storm. Kickoff is set for 6pm at the United Wireless Arena in Dodge City, Kansas.

Omaha is coming off an impressive performance against the Billings Outlaws winning 47-19.  The Beef defense held the Outlaws to an average of 2.6 yards per play and only allowed two touchdowns passes.  JayShawn Washington and Jamar Claibourn each had sack as the Beef forced two turnovers.  Chris Perry registered an interception and Cameron Hunt recovered a fumble as the defense only gave up 127 yards of offense to the Outlaws.

Tommy Armstrong was named CIF Offensive Player of the Week after he completed his first 11 passes on his way to a 16-21, 188 yards and five touchdowns performance.  Armstrong’s first three passes went for touchdowns.  Devanaire Conliffe (4-45 2 TD), Jailin Singleton (3-24, 2 TD), and Gourney Sloan (7-93, 1 TD) were among five different players to catch a pass.

The Storm are coming off their bye week and hoping to regroup after a week 1 loss at home to the Gillette Mustangs 30-12.  The Storm mustered only 130 yards of offense against the Mustangs. Billy Reagins rushed for 35 yards on 12 carries and Tahj Thomas-Tolbert went 14-33 with four interceptions.  Thomas-Tolbert threw for 115 yards and two touchdowns and was sacked twice.  The Storm defense was led by Jeff Mario Brown’s 9 tackles and picked up two sack, one each from Caleb Wright and Jamar Seard.

The Beef will have a bye week then will travel to Topeka to take on the Tropics on April 1st.
