Former NFL 1st round pick to provide a platform for unsigned players seeking contracts

NEW JERSEY – The NFL Draft Bible has partnered with former NFL legend Marvin Jones to provide unprecedented resources for professional unsigned football players who seek a pro career.

With the COVID-19 virus shutting down countries across the globe, opportunities for undrafted free agents were at an all-time low for the 2020 draft class. Many remain unsigned and unsure of how to proceed. The NFL Draft Bible has implemented a system to help streamline this process by tapping Jones as Director of Operations for the ‘Pro Football Free Agent Database, Powered By NFL Draft Bible.’

A former first round pick by the New York Jets in 1993 and Florida State Hall of Fame inductee, Jones has been involved in pro football for the past 30 years as a player, coach and advisor. He currently serves as the head coach of the Omaha Beef (CIF) and defensive coordinator for the Tropic Bowl, an annual all-star showcase for collegiate all-stars seeking a pro career.

The one-time Walter Payton Man of the Year Finalist has played with and coached thousands of players during his career. “There’s not a single day that passes without a current free agent player contacting me for advice on how to navigate these uncertain times,” Jones explained. “By partnering with the well-respected NFL Draft Bible brand, we bring instant credibility to the players and are able to feed their information directly to the decision-makers.”

Current free agent players will be able to apply for the Pro Football Free Agent Database but prospects will be pre-screened by the NFL Draft Bible scouting department to determine if they qualify. Eligible players will be graded and identified as NFL or CFL targets, to help pro teams quickly identify their needs. The most valuable service noted, includes career assistance for life by Jones and the staff at NFL Draft Bible.

“Due to the current pandemic, we witnessed first-hand how increasingly difficult it became for pro prospects to be recognized,” NFL Draft Bible founder Ric Serritella stated. “The system we’re implementing will not only benefit players significantly but will also provide a feeder system to pro leagues, this is long overdue.”
